Here comes the all new Yamaha Alba 106, the second commuter bike from Yamaha after Yamaha crux R. The strong and dashing bike is the result of the innovations and designs that the Yamaha engineers have been working on for a while now. Yamaha Alba considered widely as a blend of style and intelligence is sure to turn some heads as you ride along. The bike is solid, robust and durable. The new bike comes to the commuter segment of 100 cc bikes and sure to give a tough competition to other bikes in the segment.

Yamaha Alba is powered by a 106 cc engine that can generate a power of 7.6 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque 7.85 Nm at 6000rpm. It has a well spaced 4 speed mesh gear box. The shift pattern is first down and the rest three up. The gear box functioning is good and the design provides reasonable torque even at lower rpm bands. The Yamaha Alba is claimed a mileage of 85 kmpl in standard conditions and it attain a maximum Speed of 95 kmph. The adjustable shock absorber at the rear and the adjustable wheels offers a comfortable and easy riding experience. Straight line stability is good but flexibility is not expected to be up to the mark. There are 130 mm standard drum brakes in the front and rear.

The bike is electrical start even though there is no option of self start is available. The commuter has the stylish looks combined with robustness and excellent performance. The price of the Yamaha Alba is about 43,500 and the bike with alloy wheels costs 45,500 which is obviously a bit high comparing to the bikes of other companies in the same segment. The bike is available in red, silver, blue and black colors in the market.
