TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS ready to launch in India

Much euphoria has filled the many bike lovers as they await TVS Motors which is set to launch TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS. It is expected that it will launch on in February  2011 in India and it will be available in many markets across the world within a few months of the launch. Many people are waiting to see this bike as it is expected that it will have great sales when it hits the market due to the enthusiasm that it has brought to the motor bike enthusiasts. It’s expected that the price will range between Rs. 80, 000 – 90 000.

TVS Apache 180 ABS will be a unique bike as it will have an anti-lock Brake System. The system would be a good as it will help when hard braking is required or even when driving on slippery roads. It has also been fitted with a modern HECU that controls the bikes hydraulics and is supported by machines that can sense speed. Apart from that it also comes with RLP which means Rear Wheel lift-off Protection. As the name is suggesting this system doesn’t let the rear wheel getting lifted in air in case of an emergency braking.

TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS uses a single cylinder to power it and it comes with a four stroke engine that has a capacity of 177.4 cc. The bike can produce a maximum power of  17.3 BHP at 8500 revolutions per minute. The bike has a maximum speed of 125 kilometers per hour and it consumes less fuel at only 1 liter for every 39 kilometers with even efficient consumption on highways. It comes with a fuel tank of 16 liters.

In addition, the TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS has a length of 2085mm; width of 730mm and stands to a height of 1100mm. The front side of this bike is telescopic forks type, while the back side is of rectangular swing arm type. The bike is available in a wide range of colors that a bike enthusiast may require.

TVS Motors has collaborated with Germany’s Continental AG to develop TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS. Continental AG is leader in chassis control systems for motorcycles and cars. Also, it has been technical partners with very famous brands like BMW Motors. Now, bike enthusiasts can expect safer Apache as TVS Apache RTR 180 is ready to hit the Indian roads in February 2011 as confirmed by the TVS Motors.
