Sources reveal that the bike could be launched in the May-June period. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 was unveiled at the recently held Auto Expo 2012 along with Royal Enfield Café Racer motorcycle. Both these super bikes caught the eye of bike lovers in India and garnered terrific response. Inspired by the overwhelming public reaction, the company is tirelessly working out on plans to introduce this vehicle in the Indian markets.

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 price in India is tagged at Rs. 1.35 lakh. Royal Enfield Bikes, the leading bike manufacturer of India, eyeing a bigger marketshare in the near future. Media reports indicate that the firm is expanding its dealer network and production capacity to meet demands. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 features a 3.5 litre, single cylinder, 4 stroke petrol engine mated to a 5 Speed constant mesh gear box which gives an impressive mileage of 30 Kmpl.
